Lauren Osmolski

Artist-Blacksmith

Lauren Osmolski’s work has been included in the new book Ironwork Today 2 by Jeffrey Snyder, a collection of photographs displaying the work of long time and emerging artist-blacksmiths.

Lauren's metal work and mixed media sculpture can also be viewed at the recently opened exhibit "In Broad Daylight," ArtsWest Playhouse and Gallery, 4711 California Ave SW, West Seattle. The show runs September 21 through October 18th, 2008, with an artist reception on October 9 from 6-9pm,which also coincides with the Second Saturday Art Walk.

"Oysterville and its surrounding environs are a virtual cornucopia of uniquities. It was so inspiring to be close to the ocean. My studio space in the Andrews Garage allowed me to have several different projects going simultaneously. It is a fabulous space for a sculptor."
